Non-Profit organization led by a Board of Directors consisting of members from both the RM of West Interlake & the RM of Grahamdale.
Funding for the programs is provided by the IERHA, along with fundraising events. The services offered are thanks to the support of a strong volunteer base.
L.I.F.E. provides/arranges services and programs in and around our community by coordinating volunteers and fee for service workers to assist seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Adult Day Program
- Daily activities: Engaging games, crafts, music, and exercise.
- Meals: Nutritious lunch, snacks, and transportation included.
- Social connection: A welcoming environment to combat loneliness and build friendships.
Ashern Meal Program
- Congregate Meals: Join us for a social, family-style lunch Monday to Friday at noon at the Pioneer Manor Common Room.
- Meals on Wheels: Delivered to your home up to five days a week for those unable to cook for themselves.

Resource Library
We have many different reading and information resources available on topics such as; safe us of medication, recognizing/avoiding financial abuse, safety tips, cancer, coping with pain, elder abuse, Lifeline etc.
Medical Equipment Loan Service
Walkers, Canes, Bath Chairs, Wheelchairs, and other items are available for a 3 month loan period at the L.I.F.E. Office. A minimal deposit is required when picking up equipment.
E.R.I.K (Emergency Response Information Kit)
A small plastic folder that attaches to the front of your fridge, containing pertinent medical information which ambulance attendees can quickly access in case on an emergency.

Lakeshore Handivan
In January 2020 Living Independence for Elders Inc. merged with the Lakeshore Handivan.
The Lakeshore Handivan is available for appointments/community trips.
