Fairford is a community in Manitoba's Interlake region with a unique blend of history, culture, and nature. Located within the RM of Grahamdale, Fairford sits where Lake Manitoba meets the Fairford River. 

History and heritage

Fairford has a rich history tied to Indigenous culture and the fur trade. It was originally known by the Saulteaux name Pinaymootang, and a Hudson's Bay Company post was established in the early 1800s. 

Nature and recreation

Fairford is a haven for outdoor lovers, particularly anglers. The Fairford River is known for excellent fishing, and the Fairford River Water Control Structure is a popular shore-fishing spot. The community also offers access to Lake Manitoba for boating and swimming, as well as camping facilities at
