Historic Site-Buztynski Log House

BUZTYNSKI LOG HOUSE
Lot 2 Plan 4733 WLTO in SE 1/4 31-26-7w

BUZTYNSKI LOG HOUSERegistered Owner:
"Moosehorn Heritage Museum Incorporated"

The building represents a typical farm homestead of the early 1900's in the RM of Grahamdale. It represents the skill and resourcefulness of the pioneers as all of the logs were hand hewn and hand constructed. The logs would have been cut from the vast resource of trees for which this area was known for. The cutting of logs was an industry in itself.

This resource though a blessing, was also the achilles heel for the farmers who would want to clear land for cultivation. The pioneers did not have the luxury of hiring a professional builder, so all of the homes would have been built in the same fashion.

In Transit to present Lot.
